Odor composition of sludge drying

    Sludge odor is mainly composed of organic waste gas and inorganic waste gas (hydrogen sulfide, ammonia, methane, mercaptan and hydrocarbon) produced by natural volatilization. Sludge odor is characterized by complex composition, strong irritation and great harm to human body.

    1. SO2: strong pungent odor, the main component of acid rain, coal-fired sludge will be produced in high temperature baking, soluble in water, easily soluble in alkali, easily oxidized, in the presence of nitrogen dioxide, it is very easy to produce SO42 - biological washing.

    2. H2S: a neurotoxin with strong cleavage. It can stimulate people at a slight concentration. It is acidic and has double bonds with 920 angles. It is a polar molecule. It can reverse reaction at the critical point of 30 ℃. It is soluble in water and is easily oxidized by strong oxidants (O3 and H2O2) to produce SO32 - and SO42 -.

    3. NH3: pungent odor, weakly alkaline, polar molecule, easy to be absorbed by water, easy to react with SO42 - and easy to be oxidized by H2O2.

    4. CO2, CH4, colorless and tasteless.

    5. NOx: easily soluble in water, producing acid rain (nitric acid, nitrate). Except NO2, other nitrogen oxides are very unstable.

    6. Mercaptan: (sulfur derivatives) garlic smell, belongs to narcotic substances, flammable and explosive, if the monitoring content reaches one fourth of the explosion-proof limit, the front-end pretreatment should be taken.

    7. Cadaverine, faecal amine: animals, enzymes, fungi decay, drying to produce mercaptan, amines are weakly alkaline, a small amount of soluble in water.


Treatment technology of sludge odor waste gas
